Gracie's Day!

This is actually at the end of the day. Sleepy Gracie had a good time!

Modeling her new jammies.

Playing with Mason and Carson.

Gracie already knows that Mason is going to be her boyfriend! She sat on his lap!

My best friend with her daughters, Miley and Irelyn.

Gracie enoying the aftermath of present opening.

Gracie's cake and her babies, Pandy and Elephant.

They were the models for her cake!

Gracie and her big cousin, Landon.

Okay, when your best friend is using her Facebook status to tell you to update your blog, you know it's time! Those of you who talk to us often probably know what a week we've had. Drew's truck was plowed into by some guy last Tuesday. The driver was the only person involved, as he hit Drew's truck when it was parked in front of our house. Luckily, nobody was hurt. Unluckily, the guy driving the vehicle took off! Thankfully, the guy turned himself in the next day, and our insurance is waiving our deductible. Yep, it was a crazy week!
Now, on to better news! Gracie had her birthday party on the 16th. We kept it much smaller this year with family and close friends only. Gracie had a wonderful time. She got to open a few presents (she left most of them for me), eat some cake, and play with her little friends.
I think that interacting with the other kids was her favorite part of the day. She got to spend time with her big cousin, Mason, Carson, Miley, and Irelyn. Mason is actually going to be Gracie's boyfriend someday and she seems to know that I have him picked out for her. While Mason was driving around on her car, Gracie suddenly climbed into his lap! I'm not sure Mason was totally happy with the arrangement, but he humored me and let me take some good pictures. =) Thanks, Mason!
At the end of the day, we let Gracie wind down by playing with a new tea set. We could actually see her starting to melt, so we dressed her in her new jammies (they match her Pandy) and put her to bed. She was asleep within minutes of hitting her crib.
Drew and I had an absolutely wonderful day. We always feel so loved when our friends and family take time out of their busy schedules to be with us. Even more importantly, we know that Gracie is loved! Thank you to everyone who was there!
