mind her foot!
This is it! Today, May 8, 2009, Gracie turns two. I truly can't believe that our little baby has turned into a little girl. A mere two years ago, at exactly this moment, I was laying in a bed in San Dimas Community Hospital. I'd been in labor for about fourteen hours, and had several more hours to go. In the end, Dr. Rose, my Ob-Gyn, decided to perform a C-section. Grace Kohana was born at 9 PM, healthy, beautiful, and much bigger than anyone expected!
In celebration on Gracie's special day, I'd like to take a moment and compare life before Gracie (BG) to life after Gracie (AG). =)
BG - Our lovely little home was just right for the two of us.
AG - Our house sometimes seems like a toy factory exploded!
BG - Drew and I would spontaneously decide to take an overnight trip
AG - Every trip out of our house is scheduled around Gracie's sleep schedule.
BG - Drew and I watched VH1, or movies, or tivo'd primetime on Saturday mornings.
AG - Drew and I watch the Backyardigans with Gracie on Saturday mornings.
BG - We bought new clothes...often.
AG - We buy new clothes for Gracie...while we are still wearing the same clothes we've had for two or more years.
BG - We felt perfectly content in our family of two.
AG - We can't imaging life without Gracie.
BG - We lived for each other.
AG - We live for her.
BG - We were excited at the thought of having a child.
AG - We realize we had no idea just how amazing having a child would be.
Life has changed in innumerable ways since Gracie was born. No matter the change, she is worth everything! On this day, I am blessed because she was given to us. I am honored that God deemed us worthy to raise this little girl.
Happy birthday, Gracie! You are our greatest gift!
Awww...*tear* Seriously...reading that makes me want to cry! I love your beautiful little blessing too! She's amazing!!
